Training for Market & Consumer Research
Our current list of courses for Consumer Science and Market Research are as follows:
Basic Statistics using Excel (2 days). Data visualisation, measures of variablility, means, Confidence Intervals, Comparison of Means t-tests (paired and unpaired), one-way ANOVA, correlation and regression, comparison of proportions, chi-squared tests on tables.
Basic Statistics using your favoured statistics software (2 days) As the Basic Statistics using Excel but with your choice of suitable statistics package.
Design and Analysis of Experiments for Market Research (2 days). Investigation of effects of product components on analytic, sensory or consumer responses using multi factorial designs, applications in conjoint analysis. Application of response surface designs for product optimisation to consumer studies.
Multivariate Statistical Models for Consumer Research (3 days). An overview of the most popular multivariate techniques including principal component analysis, biplots, generalised procrustes analysis, preference mapping, correspondence analysis, canonical discriminant analysis, multi dimensional scaling, cluster analysis.
Application of Multivariate Methods in Consumer Research Workshop. Training workshops on the application of methods as in the Multivariate Statistical Models for Consumer Research.
Factor Analysis and Structural Equations (2 days). Explaining correlation structures using Factor Analysis models. Looking for drivers on consumer behaviour using Structural Equations.
Modelling Techniques (2 days). Overview of statistical modelling techniques - multiple regression, analysis of variance, partial least squares, logistic regression.
Conjoint Analysis (1 or 2 days). Overview of the conjoint approach to research, conjoint designs and their analysis, consumer segmentation using conjoint analysis.
All of the above courses are run at your site. This means that the course can be directed to your business applications and optionally the workshops can be based on your own data.
We prefer to run these courses using "in house" data as we find considerable training benefit in giving participants the opportunity to see how the techniques apply directly to their data. However if you wish we can run the course using our "off the shelf" data sets.

One to One Tuition
If you prefer we can run a one to one training programme in the context of your own business problems. We can tie this in with a project on which we consult for you. That way for the price of the consultancy you gain added value from the training element, all in the context of the problems you are facing on a day to day basis.
