Who are we?

StatApp offer training in the application of a wide range of statistical techniques.

The principal trainers in StatApp, Anne Hasted and Tony Woods, are both Chartered Statisticians with a combined professional experience of more than 50 years. During that time we have provided support and training to managers, marketers, data analysts, statisticians, credit risk analysts, scientists, doctors, forecasters, vets, engineers, economists, using a variety of software tools.

Our principal areas of expertise are in the application of statistical methods for effective use of marketing databases, both for supporting customer development strategies and for direct marketing of goods and services, and in Market and Consumer Research, investigating product and brand preference.

As good statisticians we also offer training and support for research & development (particularly in the food industry), including all the basic statistical tools, experimental design for process improvement and Statistical Process Control.

We are practiced users and trainers in both the SAS system (including Enterprise Miner) and SPSS and have also trained using most of the popular smaller statistical packages, including MINITAB, Statgraphics, SAS JMP, Statistica.
